Get Involved

We are always keen to welcome new people to get involved in the work of FACE.

Join our monthly meetings

If you are interested in the work FACE does or keen to help in some way it would great to hear from you.

We hold meetings on the last Monday of each month (except December). They used to be held at the Western General Hospital but are currently online. These monthly meetings normally start at 7pm and last around an hour.

As well as updates on donations and initiatives FACE are supporting, we discuss ideas for where FACE can help and fundraising events that are coming up. The meetings are informal and everyone is welcome. See the calendar for details and please get-in-touch if you want more details.

Support our events

Check out the calendar and find out more about fundraising events. You may be interested in helping out, coming along or just help to spread the word.

It can be something happening in your local area and you do not need to attend the meetings to get involved. Many of the events may be fundraising for FACE but not organised by FACE.

Please get in touch if you want more details.

Suggest ideas and projects for FACE to support

The funds raised through FACE provide the “little things” that make a difference to patients and families who have been affected by cancer. These ‘little things’ are designed to help provide comfort and make the environment more positive.

The suggestions and ideas for what these ‘little things’ are come directly from patients, their families & friends, and nursing staff – who are closest to knowing what would make a real difference. Your suggestion or idea would be discussed at the monthly FACE meetings. If it falls into the remit of FACE then consideration will be given as to whether FACE can help or not.

If you would like to see examples of how FACE has helped then look at the ‘About FACE’ page. All of these shown came from suggestions and ideas.

Please get in touch if you want more details.
