FACE was approached to see if would support a care assurance standards initiative and developed a new belongings bag with the bereavement services thistle logo on it.
These bags have replaced the use of plastic bags to return the belongings of a person who has sadly passed away.
This initiative was seen as something where FACE could make a real difference at such a sad time for families.
We have worked with our friends at Caledonian Clothing and the new bags are now being used. The feedback has been really positive.
Supplies of the bags are available in Ward 11 and they have been distributed to other wards across the Western General Hospital.
