The Crime Dinner held in the Wolfson Hall at the Royal College of Surgeons was a great success. We were delighted to welcome distinguished speakers Ian Rankin, Peter Ritchie and Dr Ralph Bouhaidar who entertained the sell-out audience with stories and insight. The evening was hosted by Tom Wood, former deputy chief constable of Lothian & Borders Police. We were also joined by Iain Livingstone (Chief Constable of Police Scotland) and David Strang CBE (former chief constable of Lothian & Borders Police and chief inspector of prisons in Scotland). After the dinner and speeches, there was time to meet Ian, Peter and Tom and buy signed editions of their new books.
An auction and raffle were held, and on the night £5,150 was raised for FACE. Great news and it was also an opportunity to raise awareness of FACE, how the money raised can make a real difference for patients / relatives impacted by cancer.
Special thanks to Canterbury Travel and Highland Park for their support, to Dr Judy Evans and all at the Royal College of Surgeons for their hospitality.
Well done to Jim Pryde and John Macaulay for making it happen.
