It is fantastic to report the trip to Lapland went ahead on Saturday 11 December 2021 – after being on hold for two years.
It was a wonderful day and experience for everyone who was there, looked after by the dedicated FACE team. This year the trip was designed to create a special day for families, especially children, who had lost loved ones.
We have received lovely feedback on the back of it (click the link below). With all that is required to travel, it took great organisation and determination to have everything in place for the trip over and back.
A big thanks to everyone for all they did to make it happen. We are also so grateful for the support of Jet 2, Canterbury Travel, our friends at Edinburgh Airport and especially Santa Claus who made everyone’s day super special.
‘The concept of bringing bereaved children to go meet Santa and spend a magical day in the Arctic was just beautiful, and very moving.’
