The annual trip to Lapland took place on Sunday 10 December.
It was once again a wonderful experience for everyone who headed north to meet our good friend Santa Claus. Huge thanks to John Macaulay for bringing it altogether and to the fantastic FACE team for looking after everyone on the trip to the frozen landscapes in Lapland.
Thanks to the crew of the Thomson’s (TUI) flight who entered into the spirit of the trip and were brilliant throughout. They may have not managed to keep John Macaulay still but helped the team celebrate Fiona T’s 50th birthday.
Over many years we have also received brilliant support from the Security team at Edinburgh Airport. Not only do they help on the trip by fast tracking the tour party through security but they also raised an amazing £2,660 for FACE in 2017. A big thanks to everyone in the team for their kindness and support.
We have also established a great and valued link with friends in North Berwick at Beach Wheelchairs. Once again they very kindly loaned us one of their wheelchairs to take on the trip to Lapland. It really is a great help for the team to have this and use it in the snow. Thank you so much. The FACE sleigh was down in North Berwick in December to meet our friends there and the Rotary.
