This year’s Lapland Trip on Saturday 7th December 2024 was the 30th time FACE had taken children & families impacted by cancer to meet Santa Claus in Lapland.
Christmas can be such a difficult time for people as they cope with the loss of a loved one and the FACE team do everything they can to make the experience special for those travelling with us.
It was a wonderful day spent playing in the snow, being towed by reindeer & huskies and visiting an Ice Palace. This was before the magical visit to meet Santa Claus in his cabin deep in the forest.
The FACE team would like to thank Canterbury Travel, Edinburgh Airport, Jet2 and Caffè Nero for doing so much to help make our Lapland Trip a wonderful experience. Special thanks to Santa for taking the time out of his busy schedule to meet everyone in his cabin and for the selection boxes his helper gave to all the travellers at the airport.
There was a very special announcement by the pilot on this trip, with John Macaulay MBE thanked for everything he has done to organise all 30 of the Lapland Trips & lead the amazing FACE team. It is a wonderful achievement and our friends at Jet2 presented John with an engraved gift to mark the occasion.
It is a special day which means so much to everyone who joins FACE on the trip and we continue to receive wonderful feedback from families who made the trip with us in years gone by.
